This is my first post so it’s nice to see someone decided to come across this page of mine. Let me introduce myself, my name is Miranda and I’m a 28 year old woman just here to try something new and see where things can go with this. To put myself out there is stepping out of my comfort zone, so it feels a little…weird at the moment? But you know, that’s what life is about, trying new things and “stepping out of our comfort zone”. I’ve never done anything like this, sure I’ve done the typical social media (which I’m going to get myself back into that as well, only instagram).
Personally, I haven’t had an interest to get back into Facebook. I deactivated that when I started school, so I guess I better share what I do and everything. So here it is, just going to try and keep it short and sweet.
I’m single, never married and no kiddos. I’m a Medical Laboratory Technician (no, I’m definitely not a nurse, but what I do is test the patient specimen that we receive in the lab to see the health, treatment progress, and of course, if there is an unfortunate decline of patients that you cannot physically see). I’m working at a hospital that I started at March of 2020 on night shift (yes, I know it was poorly timed…but it is what it is, you know?) I had graduated in 2019 with my Associate’s Degree in the program. I’ll tell you, medical field/allied health or any type of degree that has to deal with the human body is tough work! So I deactivated both my Instagram and Facebook and I didn’t miss it. So I quit social media to get through school, the less distractions you have, the better (if you’re like me, being easily distracted from anything else).
- There are plenty of things I’d like to share on here, if anyone will read it, I don’t know the likeliness of that but I’m willing to give it a shot…maybe someone can read this and think, “I’m glad I’m not the only one to think this way”.
- With this my goal is to really document and learn about myself. If there’s something you’d like to know or discuss, I’d gladly share my experience(s) and thoughts on it if I’ve ever had any.
- This is one of those things that I’m calling the “Me Project”, when you discover things you didn’t know about yourself, what you’d enjoy and make you happy you’ll want to share it in some way in hopes that it may help someone or make them want to try it to.
- Of course, there’s also the struggles and “bumps in the road” that we come across in life that I’d be more than willing to share in hopes that it’ll help someone get through it too. Mental health is just as important as physical health (which with me, it’s all “a work in progress” but I’ll get through it.) I’ve gotten through the hardest times, now it’s just giving myself control of my thinking; to rewire my little brain cells to KNOW that I can’t control everything and it’ll be okay if I don’t – it’s just one tiny piece of a whole.
So if you’d like to hop on this little wagon with me through this thing we call life, I’d love it if you’d stick around and share your story with me.
Thanks with love,
